Buggy Babies Summer Workout
11 June, 2010
A new fitness programme has been launched this summer to get mums and babies active.
Broxtowe Borough Council will kick start the ‘Buggy Babies’ classes from July. The classes which are free will run weekly and be taken by a qualified fitness instructor, with a specialist qualification in postnatal exercise. The classes will begin with a warm up, followed by a power walk and toning exercises using the buggy, the fitness regime will then finish off with a cool down exercise.
Mums will not be stuck inside a sports hall, as the sessions will be taking place at Wollaton Park, Attenborough Nature Reserve and Bramcote Hills Park. By having the lessons outside, it will make it feel less like a fitness class and more like a morning out. Mums are advised to book early, as sessions are limited to 20 mums per class.
