Celebrating Two Years of Choosing Health
05 July, 2010
The NHS Nottinghamshire County is hosting ‘Choosing Health’ in partnership with Broxtowe Borough Council. The event will be at the Trowell Parish Hall in Stapleford Road, Trowell, on Tuesday 6 July from 6.30pm till 9.30pm.
The projects received a share of over £200.000 from funding. The deputy Mayor, Jacky Williams, of Broxtowe will be attending the event.
Cllr Williams said: “The Choosing Health fund had provided invaluable resources to support a variety of projects across Broxtowe Borough, which has been successful in helping people to live healthier lifestyles.
“We are proud of all these projects and my colleagues and I are looking forward to hearing about their achievements and sharing their success at the event later this month.”
The Choosing Health fund is delivered through the Health Task Group of Broxtowe Borough Partnership.
The fund which was launched in 2008, offers support to community, voluntary and partnership projects which help to improve the health and wellbeing of local people.
On the night, over 30 representatives have been invited to present their work to promote the Choosing Health fund and inspire others to set up their own projects. Refreshments will be provided.
