Supermarket staff threatened during robbery

The offenders entered Sainsbury’s in Blenheim Drive, Chilwell, at around 9.50pm Thursday September 18, 2008.
Once inside the robbers sprayed security staff with a noxious spray, before threatening staff with a knife and demanding cash. The offenders stole money and cigarettes before fleeing on foot towards an alleyway located at the junction of Bleinheim Drive and Eskdale Drive.
Following the robbery one member of staff received medical treatment, however no serious injuries were sustained.
Description
The offenders are all believed to be men in their late teens to early twenties and are described follows.
One of the robbers is described as white and was wearing a black tracksuit hooded top, and blue jeans.
A second robber is described as black and was male wearing a black hooded top and dark coloured trousers.
The third man is described as black and was wearing a blue hooded top and dark trousers.
”Pre-planned"
Detective Sergeant Brian Foster said: “This robbery would appear to be pre-planned and carried out by individuals who were intent on stealing”.
“In an effort to track these offenders I would ask shoppers or motorists who were in and around Sainsbury’s, to cast their minds back and see if they can remember anyone acting suspiciously and any vehicles associated with those individuals.
“If anyone thinks they have information regarding the offenders they should contact the police immediately.”
