Ashley Cooke, 21, was among 90 students who have taken Higher Education courses at Castle College and who celebrated their achievements at their Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, November, 17, in the Albert Hall.

The Lord Mayor of Nottingham and Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe were in attendance and the students were presented with their certificates by David Kissman O.B.E, who was taking part in his last public engagement as Chair of Governors at the College.

Career in the Police Force

Ashley completed the Foundation Degree in Criminal Justice (Police Studies), awarded by De Montfort University and is looking forward to going into the Police Force.

He said: “I found the course really interesting. The experience of the lecturers in the field gives you a head start, and both the Law and Policing aspects of the role are covered. We even had a retired Police Officer as one of our lecturers.”
