Stapleford mother appeals for return of stolen baby pics

21 November, 2007

A mother is appealing for thieves to return photos of her one-year-old baby.

A laptop computer and a digital camera, which contained photographs of the baby girl, were among items stolen during a burglary that happened on Hartwood Drive in Stapleford.

Thieves entered the house sometime between 10.30pm on Tuesday, November 20, and 8am on Wednesday, November 21.

A number of items have been recovered today but a purse, which contained loose photographs and the baby’s hospital identity tag, the digital camera and laptop are still outstanding.

"Absolutely devastated"

The baby’s mother, Joanne Mullock, said: “I’m absolutely devastated as these are the only photos I have of my baby from when she was born to now. I’ve lost so many precious memories of her first year that I’ll never be able to recover.

“The hospital identity tag is of no value to anyone else but it's irreplaceable to me. I can only hope that the thieves or anyone who may find the purse takes heart and hands the tag and the photos to the police.”

Anyone with information should contact officers at Beeston Police Station on 0115 940 0999 ext 5667 or ext 5616.
