A talk on Bees

Event date: Thursday 13, March 2008 at 19:00 Bee specialist Bobby Robinson will be giving an illustrated talk on the life-cycle of the honey bee at Eastwood Library on Thursday, March 13 from 7pm.
‘An insight into one of man’s oldest friends.’ Friends of Colliers Wood have organised this community event to encourage a greater understanding of all the species that share the urban environment including open spaces like Colliers Wood.
Colliers Wood is situated on Engine Lane, Moorgreen on the former site of the Moorgreen Pit. The area is open to the public and its beauty attracts local walkers as well as an array of wildlife.

Everyone is welcome to the talk by Bobby. Admission is £2 for adults and £1 concessions.

The Friends of Collier’s Wood meet on the last Wednesday of every month at Durban House Heritage Centre, Eastwood at 7pm.
This active group will hold many events and activities for family enjoyment throughout 2008.
Membership is free anyone with an interest in preserving the beauty and significance of the site is welcome.
