Police warning after Distraction Burglaries

The first incident took place at Awsworth Service Station on Gin Close Way in Awsworth at approximately 16.20 hours when a man and woman with two children entered the store.
While the man distracted the shop assistant, the woman took items and put them in the pram. They then left the shop and drove away in a light blue metallic Audi.
The man is described as being about 33 years old, 5’9” tall, slim with bleached hair and wearing a blue top and jeans. The woman was white, had long dark hair and was wearing jeans and a white jacket. The two children were male and female and aged between three and five.
Second Offence
The second offence took place at Sainsbury’s on Stoney Street in Beeston between 16.45 and 17.45 hours.
A female shopper was in the store when she was approached by a woman with two children aged between two and nine. The woman engaged the shopper by asking her questions about food and while she was doing this she took the shopper’s purse from her bag, which was in the victim’s shopping trolley.
The offender is described as a white female, in her late twenties, about 5’2” tall, slim with dark hair and was wearing a brown fur coat.
