Men escape house fire

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the house on George Avenue just before 0700 on Sunday, May 27 where they found the kitchen well alight.
The men had escaped from the property before the arrival of the emergency services, with one having jumped through a first floor window.
The three men were taken to hospital and treated for the effects of breathing in smoke.
A spokesman for the Nottingham Fire and Rescue Service said that the rented property had not been fitted with a smoke alarm.
