Co-op Travel shops throughout the country joined forces earlier this year to 'give away a holiday a day – and Mr David Shrewsbury, customer of Ilkeston Co-op Travel on High Road, Beeston, was one of the lucky winners.
”Great Surprise”
Mr Shrewsbury said: “It was a great surprise, this is the first time I have won anything like this before. I have never been to Greece before so I am really looking forward to exploring Rhodes.”
Janine Swain, Ilkeston Co-op Travel Shop Manager, added: “We were very happy to hear that Mr Shrewsbury had won this prize. I have personally visited Rhodes in Greece and I know he will have a fabulous time there.”
”One of four lucky winners”
Alex Chapman, Regional Manager at Midlands Co-op Travel, said: “This national competition has attracted a lot of entries and interest, and we are very pleased that Mr Shrewsbury is one of four lucky winners at Midlands Co-op and Ilkeston Co-op.”
Midlands Co-op Travel, which encompasses Ilkeston Co-op Travel, is a fully independent travel business as it is not owned by a tour operator or airline. Because of this, it is able to offer the best deals as well as providing other travel related services such as insurance, commission-free currency and car hire.
