BMX track gets green light for Secure Unit

14 January, 2008

Controversial plans have been approved to build a BMX track for young offenders at a secure unit in Stapleford.

The facility at Clayfields House Secure Unit in Moorbridge Lane, was given the green light by Nottinghamshire County Council on Tuesday, January 8.

Residents living nearby expressed concerns about an increase in anti-social behaviour near to their homes.

However, a spokesman for Clayfields House, said the aim of the centre was to engage young people in meaningful activities in order to prevent further offending.
