Boots under new ownership

Beeston-based Alliance Boots has confirmed it has successfully transferred to new ownership.The new owners of the Company support the existing aims and plans for the business.
They remain as:
• enhancing Alliance Boots position as a global leader in the healthcare services and beauty industries.
• Building upon Alliance Boots position as a trusted UK brand and retail institution.
• Developing further Alliance Boots existing businesses, both in the UK and overseas.
• Investing further to respond to the rapid structural changes in the European pharmacy retail and wholesale markets in which we operate.
Alliance Boots has also committed to maintain a level of transparency commensurate with a socially responsible organisation.
It will publish and present an annual performance review, update on major business developments and continue to push ahead with its corporate social responsibility agenda.
The intention will be to keep employees, customers and all other stakeholders up to date with all relevant aspects of the company.
