Bramcote bridge to get facelift
10 July, 2008
A bridge over the A52 Brian Clough Way will be getting a facelift next week. The footbridge at the Bramcote roundabout, will be cleaned down, prepared and painted.
During the work there will be lane closures on the eastbound and westbound carriageways between 8pm and 6am starting on Monday, July 14, for three weeks.
There will then be a full closure of the westbound carriageway between the Priory Island and Bardill's Roundabout between 8pm and 6am from Friday, August 1, to Friday, August 8.
During the closures of the westbound carriageway traffic will be diverted along the B6006 Woodside Road, A6005 Queen's Road and the B6003 Stapleford Lane to rejoin the A52 at Bardill's Roundabout.
Highways Agency project manager Jack Warner said: “The work will be carried out overnight, when traffic is lightest, in order to minimise disruption to road users.
“We would ask that people take care when driving through the works, allow extra time for their journeys and familiarise themselves with the diversion route if necessary."
