Man dies following heart attack in Beeston

A 74-year-old man who suffered a heart attack at a shop in Beeston, has died.

The man, from Kimberley, who has not yet been named, collapsed while working at Barnsdale Butchers, High Road at around 1.30pm on Thursday, August 30.

Revived

He was revived by paramedics and Beeston’s Beat Officer PC Ben Rosser who was called to the scene after a man began obstructing medical staff.

The pensioner was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre, but he died the following day.

The man causing the obstruction was arrested and later released without charge.
