480 Cannabis Plants recovered in Beeston

cannabis-recovered-beeston Nottinghamshire Police has seized around 480 cannabis plants following the search of a house.

Officers discovered the substantial cannabis grow after executing a warrant at a house in Salisbury Street, Beeston, at around 12pm, Tuesday April 22.

During the search around 80 mature cannabis plants, worth approximately £40,000, were recovered. Another 80 smaller cannabis plants and 320 seedlings were also recovered along with hydroponic growing equipment.

Tip Off

The warrant was executed after Nottinghamshire Police received a tip off from a member of the public.

The house was unoccupied and officers are now investigating the discovery and are appealing to anyone with information to get in touch.

Chief Inspector Steve Haylett said: “This discovery shows how useful information received from the public is in fighting drugs crime.

”Unusual Smell”

“I ask anyone who spots any suspicious people or activity, or notices an unusual smell, to call Nottinghamshire Police or Crimestoppers so we can deal with it.”
