The car parks have been assessed by the police and have measures in place to deter criminal activity creating a safer environment for both the public and their vehicles.
“Excellent News”
Divisional Commander for South Nottinghamshire Division, Chief Superintendent John Busuttil said: “I think these awards are excellent news for the area. Shoppers and visitors are now able to use these car parks with the knowledge that they have a safer place to leave their vehicles.”
Safer Car Park
James White, Police Crime Reduction Manager for the Broxtowe Borough, said: "The facility of a secured car park gives motorists in Broxtowe Borough a choice to use a safer car park. "Our advice to motorists is to always use all the security devices fitted in your vehicle and remove all valuables; in fact leave nothing on display.
“Cash, mobile phones, sat navs, CDs and radios are the most stolen items from cars. Also remember to close and lock doors, windows, the boot and sunroof when leaving your vehicle. Park in well-lit areas and, when available, always use secure car parks.”
