Investigation to see if Care Centre is under-used

An investigation into whether the Stapleford Care Centre is being under-used is to take place.The Nottinghamshire County Council Overview and Scrutiny Committee will make an assessment of the building.
Broxtowe Mayor Cllr Brian Wombwell, who is keen to see the building utilised to better advantage, will act as the vice chairman of the committee which will carry out the three-month investigation.
The centre in Church Street, which cost £11M is an NHS Primary Care Centre and aims to provide health, social care and community facilities. It was developed by the Greater Nottingham Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) Company.
