Celebrating a year of achievement
19 June, 2008
The Broxtowe Partnership celebrated a year of achievement on Wednesday, June 4, at Attenborough Nature Centre with a team building theme of interactive sessions including Walk and Talk, bird spotting/data recording, path clearing and an art project to produce plastic bag sculptures. The programme for this year’s annual event was introduced with a welcome from Ruth Hyde, Chief Executive, Broxtowe Borough Council.
Interesting range
As well as the interactive sessions an interesting range of speakers provided a review of 2007/08 as well as presentation on the Local Area Agreement from Jack Markiewicz, Nottinghamshire County Council and Rachael Clarke, Networking Action with Voluntary Organisations (NAVO).
Over 70 organisations make up the Broxtowe Partnership and they are all working together to help improve quality of life in Broxtowe Borough.
Representatives from the public, private, voluntary and community sectors all come together to share ideas and information and identify actions to meet the needs of the community.
