04 February, 2008

chambers-pencil-factory-the-way-we-were The photo of Chambers Pencil Factory was taken during the Factory’s Jubilee Year in 1935 and has been lent by Norman Chambers.

Former employees of Chambers Pencils in Stapleford are being sought to take part in a documentary about the company.

The ITV programme ‘The Way We Were’ returns to our screens this spring and Central needs your help to make it.

Nostalgic Look Back

It is an archive film show which takes a nostalgic look back at how we used to live using cine film and hearing viewers’ tales of days gone by.

In the new series they’ll be looking at the history of Chambers’ Pencils in Stapleford.

Relive Your Memories

They have some fantastic archive cine film from Norman Chambers himself and are now looking for ex-employees to talk through the film on camera. It’s your chance to relive your memories and possibly star on TV!

Time is of the essence on this project so If you think you can help or if you need further information you can call the producer, Rebecca Lyon on 0844 881 4186 email Rebecca.Lyon@ITV.com
