Chilwell man is the Bees Knees
16 April, 2008
A Chilwell man is creating a buzz in the photography world, coming third in a national competition with his photos of bees in flight. John Willmott from Chilwell, is a Learning Support Assistant for Pre–Foundation courses, based at Castle College’s Arthur Mee Centre in Stapleford.
After being interested in Photography for over 30 years, he completed Digital Photography, Portrait, and Photoshop courses through Castle College over a period of two years, passing them all with flying colours.
Passion
John’s passion for photography also benefited his students, who were completing a digital photography course at the same time.
John put his skills to the test by entering two of his photos of bees in flight, entitled ’Having a Rest’, into a national photo competition for Grants Whisky.
He was one of three runners up, winning a case of whisky and the honour of having his pictures on display at Harts Hotel in Nottingham.
