Shop benefits from Grant

19 November, 2008

chilwell-shop-regeneration The new sparkling shop front at Cameron House highlights a range of unique interiors, gifts and greetings cards as well as showcasing a Christmas range of traditional and contemporary designs, and it’s all due to a special grant of £986 from Broxtowe Borough Council’s Keeping Up Appearances Scheme.

The Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe Councillor Sue Wildey visited the newly opened business on Chilwell Road, Beeston in November to present the cheque. The grant scheme, aimed at improving retail and commercial premises, assisted with the transformation of the shop front.

The Keeping Up Appearances Scheme offers up to £2,500 to town centre businesses and £1000 to out of town businesses as a 50% contribution to works such as signage, repair and restoration, guttering, roofs and windows. Cameron House received £986 towards new signage and repainting of the shop front.
