'Clear up or pay up' dog owners warned

26 January, 2008

Nottinghamshire police officers are warning dog walkers in Beeston to ‘clear up or pay up’.

Problem areas include Dennis Avenue and Beeston Fields Recreation Ground.

PC Chris Copley, Beat Manager for Beeston said: “Dog walkers should be aware that if they don’t clear up after their pet they will be given a £50 on the spot fine.

“I urge dog owners to be responsible and have respect for their surroundings and for other people using the area.”

Officers will be paying particular attention to the areas mentioned above as well as the surrounding ‘problem locations’.
