New chiropody proves to be 'A Foot Above'

clinic-proves-to-be-foot-above “A Foot Above” has officially opened a Chiropody and Sports Injury Clinic in Beeston and to celebrate the Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe, Councillor Sue Wildey put her best foot forward to test out the new service.

The Mayor also presented a cheque for £298 from Broxtowe Borough Council’s Keeping Up Appearances grant aid scheme that has help towards the renovation of the premises.

HPC Registered Chiropodist Stephen Gardiner who runs the business on Wollaton Road as well as a branch in Ilkeston and tends to clients fatigued feet and sporting injuries, whatever their age.

National Accreditation

This second “A Foot Above” clinic in the East Midlands has also gained National Accreditation for its clinical practice after being assessed and audited by the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.

Stephen, an ex-serviceman with his extended knowledge of Chiropody and Sports Medicine continues to thank The Royal British Legion for their help and support in establishing his first clinic back in 2005.

Stephen said, “It is fascinating to see the diversity of foot and gait problems that people encounter all the way through from small children to the more mature foot. ‘A Foot Above’ has come a long way since opening the first clinic with the aide of The Royal British Legion.”

Grant funding

The Keeping Up Appearances grant aid scheme offers owners and tenants of retail and commercial premises who are eligible grant funding towards the costs of improving the frontage of their premises.
