I am always passing this pub for some reason or another, but have not been in, so thought I would check it out for lunch for the other week.
The first thing that put me off was the music being piped out of the front and loudly into the car park.
The second thing was that smoking is still allowed and the stale smell of cigarettes almost had me running for the door.
But further inside the smell lessened and my friend and I found a table.
He went to the bar and found the drinks a little on the pricey side.
Then we studied the menu. It all looked slightly over-priced for what we wanted to pay for a ‘snack’ lunch.
Still I went ahead and ordered Cajun chicken wraps and my friend had the steakwich.
They were both well cooked and tasty, but left us feeling we could have eaten more!
Overall rating: Over-priced for what it is, although well cooked and presented.
