Open Day at Crematorium

The Open Day is aimed at dispelling any myths or concerns that the public may have about the facility and enable relatives and friends to look around the premises in a relaxed and informal way. Anyone is welcome to attend.
The Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe, Councillor Brian Wombwell will be dropping at in 11am to meet employees and visitors and tour the facility.
Busy
Conducting an average of 3,000 cremations a year, Bramcote Crematorium is one of the busiest in the United Kingdom and over the years has embraced many of the latest developments in technology and procedure, in its endeavour to meet the needs and expectations of the people who use it.
The crematorium employees will be on hand to give guided tours of the premises, explaining the systems and procedures used in the daily routine of the crematorium, including the MP3 format Internet based ‘Wesley Music’ System – which provides the varied and detailed musical requiremements of many of the services.
Heritage Open Day
The Open Day is timed to coincide with the ‘Heritage Open Day’, a UK wide event jointly sponsored by English Heritage and the Civic Trust, which celebrates England's fantastic architecture and culture by offering free access to properties that are usually closed to the public or normally charge for admission.
