”Misery”

Partnerships Officer Nigel Turner, who has organised the event, said: “Criminals are becoming more sophisticated as they try to defeat the law and bring misery on law-abiding businesses and homeowners.

“Fortunately the Crime Reduction Expo will feature some of the latest technologies which have been specifically designed to prevent burglars and vandals from committing such crimes.

“Many of the companies will also be holding free seminars, which will not only discuss specific products, but also better ways to use products you may currently have.”

Number of Booklets

Nottinghamshire Police has published a number of booklets and leaflets around business and home prevention, which will be available on the day.

Nigel Turner added: “Many crime prevention products are very competitively priced and in the long term may save money. “It is everybody’s interests, which includes the police, businesses and homeowners that security is increased where it can be.”

Also at the Expo, which has been organised by the force’s South Nottinghamshire Division, will be the RSCPA. On the day pet owners will be able to their dog or cat micro-chipped for around £15.
