Dustbin lorry gutted in fire

The scene of the incident
A DUSTBIN lorry caught fire on Town Street, Bramcote, close to the Bramcote Island at the junction with the A52 Brian Clough Way, on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 12.Three fire engines and a Rescue Tender from the Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service based at Dunkirk Fire Station attended.
On arrival they found a deep seated fire in the back of the vehicle and the Rescue Tender cut a hole in the side of the lorry to get access to the fire.
The incident lasted for three hours and the vehicle was removed by 16:30 hours.
No one was injured.
