Sgt Dave Roberts on his retirement
A former police officer, who worked in Beeston and Stapleford during his 30 years service, has been nominated for a national Lifetime Achievement Award.Dave Roberts who retired as a sergeant earlier this year has won the Nottinghamshire nomination and will represent the county in the national final of the Police Review Lifetime Achievement Award later this year.
He was nominated by his former supervisor, Chief Inspector Glenn Harper, who said he was the "epitome of a professional copper".
Sergeant Roberts had worked in the Rushcliffe borough for the last nine years of his service but previously worked around the county in a number of roles.
During that time he has covered Beeston, Stapleford, Wollaton, Hyson Green, Broxtowe, Bilborough, Bestwood, Arnold, Hucknall, Meadows, Clifton and West Bridgford, as well as working in CID and the drugs squad.
