Free insulation offer to Over 70's

Did you know that if you are aged over 70 and own your own home or rent privately, you are now entitled to free cavity wall and loft insulation? Broxtowe Borough Council is reminding its residents that they can save money by taking advantage of Warmfront grants to insulate their homes.
A third of all heat in an un-insulated home is lost through the walls, and around 15 percent is lost through the roof.
Cavity walls insulation will save around £90 and insulating a loft could save you a further £110 on heating bills each year.
Entitled
Residents are only entitled to free insulation if they have less than 75mm of existing insulation and are on eligible benefits or are aged over 70.
Grants of up to £2,700 are also available from Warmfront for the replacement of heating systems for the same vulnerable groups and top-up grants are available from Broxtowe Borough Council if the grant from Warmfront does not cover the full cost.
