Funding to refurbish Scout Kitchen

Members of the 1st Stapleford (St Helens) Scout Group are celebrating after being successful in getting funding to help refurbish the kitchen area of their hall.The project by the scout and guide group in Stapleford will enable them to hold culinary workshops and develop kitchen skills.
The grant of £9,443 was made in the March round of the Awards for All Fund and will pay for kitchen units, electrical work and tiling.

Awards for All England is supported by the Arts Council England, the Big Lottery Fund, the Heritage Lottery Fund and Sport England.
The grants of between £300 and £10,000 are for people to take part in art, sport, heritage and community activities, and projects that promote education, the environment and health in the local community.
In the East Midlands 86 grants were made totalling £588,195.
