Funeral of Stapleford man

George Woolley, known as Bill, of New Eaton Road, died on Tuesday, February 19, after being involved in an accident at around 10.30am on Derby Road, Stapleford, near the pedestrian crossing outside the Co-op store and involved a blue and white Foden tipper lorry.
Paramedics attended, but the 91-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lifelong member
The funeral service for Mr Woolley will be held at Stapleford Methodist Church, Eatons Road, where he had been a lifelong member, and will be followed by a Service of Committal at Bramcote Crematorium at 2pm.
The family have requested no flowers but all donations to the National Children’s Home charity.
Mr Woolley, a widower, leaves a son and four grandsons.
The inquest into Mr Woolley’s death was opened and adjourned at Nottingham Coroner’s Court on Friday, February 22.
