British Historic Championships

Event date: Sunday 27, April 2008 at 10:30 Bikes from a bygone era provide the sporting thrills this Sunday at Donington Park with a packed 26 race programme of British Historic Championships that features all types of solo motorcycles together with sidecars and Morgan three wheelers.
The meeting portrays in many respects the development of the racing motorcycle, with machines pre-dating 1934 on track while the most recent date from the 1970s.
Lovingly Restored
There is that chance to see the machines, lovingly restored and prepared for race action in the paddock, as well as enjoying the fast-moving on track action.
And, adding variety there is action for scooters and sidecar scooters while the final two are aimed specifically at the older competitors with the Bonhams backed race for solo motorcycles raced by riders aged 50 years and over while the Charioteers race is for sidecars driven by competitors aged 50 years or over.
Racing starts at 10.30am. following on from morning practice starting at 09.00.
