Laptop Marking Day at Beeston Police Station
14 February, 2008
Residents of Broxtowe South are invited to take advantage of a crime reduction scheme that will help to reduce the number of laptop computers stolen.Anyone who lives in the Beeston, Stapleford, Toton, Attenborough, Chilwell, Trowell and Bramcote areas can bring their computers to be marked with the Stoptrack property marking and tracing system, together with a bill or council tax statement to provide proof of residency.
The event will be held at Beeston Police Station on Chilwell Road, Beeston between 10am and 3pm on Saturday, February 23.
Partnership funding has allowed the police to purchase the Stoptrack property marking and tracing system which leaves a permanent mark on the equipment that will be impossible to remove without causing damage and affecting its resale value.
