Course for Mental Health Workers

08 January, 2008

People working within the mental health sector and wish to update their qualifications, could benefit from a course which takes at the Stapleford campus of Castle College.

The City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Mental Health Work is aimed at those who work with people with mental health difficulties.

These difficulties can include Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Bi-polar and Personality Disorders.

Opportunity to Progress

The qualification gives the opportunity to progress within the mental health services and acts as preparation for a variety of other courses.

These include the Level 3 Certificate in Community Mental Health Care and NVQ’s in Care. It also acts as a stand alone mental health qualification.

Whiteley Mill

The course will be taking place from Tuesday, January 15, until October 2008 at the College’s Whiteley Mill Centre, Stapleford.

The nature of the course means that you will be in college about twice a month, but this can vary.

No formal academic entry requirements required, however, you will need to be working (paid or unpaid) in a mental health setting.
