New Kiosk launched
07 July, 2008
A new customer self service Kiosk was launched by Broxtowe Borough Council in July by the Deputy Mayor of Broxtowe Borough, Councillor John Longdon. The event also marked the official launch of the Council's new website together with the 'Why Waste Time.. Do It Online' campaign that highlights to the public the services they can now access via the Broxtowe website.
Kiosk
The new Kiosk which is in the Council Offices in Beeston and enables the public to carry out various transactions and includes new fast links to sections on 'Report It, Find It, Pay it and Apply For It' to help residents find what they are looking for quickly.
The Council's website is already used extensively receiving an average of 3300 hits per day and rising.
The most popular of Broxtowe Borough Council's web pages include the planning pages and jobs online.
Wealth of information
The site contains a wealth of information including a section called Local View which uses post codes and map searches to help residents find topics like their nearest MP and Leisure Centre or report an issue ranging from graffiti to fly tipping. At the same time residents can pinpoint exactly where the problems are on a map of the Borough.
The Council hopes that people will use the Kiosk to familiarise themselves with some of these additional services with or without the aid of a Customer Services Administrator and then use the web from home to save them time in the future.
