Staff and volunteers at leading veterinary charity PDSA's Beeston shop are celebrating after signing up their 500th Gift Aid Donor. Gift Aid is a fundraising initiative that doesn't cost the donor a penny as the funds come from cash claimed back from the tax man!
”Thrilled”
PDSA Shop Manager, Linda Morrell, says: "We are thrilled to bits that we've signed up our 500th Gift Aid donor in less than twelve months! But we're not stopping here, we want to sign up another 500 before the end of the year!
"Gift Aid is so important to PDSA because it means that we can claim an extra 28 pence for every pound raised through the sale of taxpayer's donations. This extra money makes supporters' donations go further and raises even more funds for sick and injured pets."
Volunteers
Beeston PDSA shop is also on the look-out for volunteers who can spare a few hours or days a week to help raise funds for pets in need of vets.
For more information, please contact the National Volunteering Centre on 0800 854194.
Located at Unit 3, Villa Street Development, Beeston PDSA shop raises funds to provide free veterinary treatment in the local area where Nottingham PDSA PetAid hospital cares for the sick and injured pets of people in need.
