Police Appeal for M1 crash witnesses

police-appeal-j25-crash Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the M1 at around 0545hrs on Thursday, July 3.

The collision occurred just after Junction 25 on the southbound carriageway and involved a silver Peugeot 406, which struck the central reservation. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the incident.

The driver of the Peugeot, a 63 year-old man from the Nottingham area, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the two passengers, a man and a woman, suffered minor injuries and were taken to the QMC for treatment.

Police closed the M1 southbound carriageway at Junction 25 and diversions were put in place. The road reopened at around 0935hrs.
