Police seize cannabis plants from Beeston

Officers discovered the small scale cannabis grow after entering a house in Mona Street, Beeston, at around 4.30am, Tuesday April 15.

During the search around 40 mature cannabis plants and around 10 small plants were recovered along with specialist hydroponic growing equipment.

Police entered the house, which was unoccupied, after receiving reports of suspicious activity at the address.

Investigating the discovery

Officers are now investigating the discovery and are appealing to anyone with information to get in touch.

Chief Inspector Steve Haylett said: “This discovery shows how useful information received from the public is in fighting drugs crime.

“I ask anyone who spots any suspicious people or activity, or notices an unusual smell, to call Nottinghamshire Police or Crimestoppers so we can deal with it.”
