Essential overnight work between Priory and QMC island
12 March, 2008
Essential overnight work will start on Tuesday, March 25, to repair a section of worn out road surface on a stretch of the A52.The work on both the east and westbound carriageways will take place between Priory roundabout and QMC roundabout, which is just over a mile long.
Repairs will take place overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Tuesday, March 25, to Sunday, March 30. The work will involve single lane closures on this stretch with two-way temporary traffic lights.
Sameer Sharma, Highways Agency project manager said: "An average of 3,500 vehicles use this stretch of the A52 in Nottingham each hour at peak times so this repair work is essential to ensure the safety of motorists and to provide a smoother road surface.
"The work is being carried out overnight when the traffic volumes are lightest, but temporary traffic lights will be in place so drivers should be prepared for some short delays to their journey."
