Resurfacing work at Queen's Medical Centre

25 February, 2008

Essential resurfacing will be carried out on the A52 eastbound entry sliproad outside the Queen's Medical Centre from Monday, 3 March for five nights.

The work also involves resurfacing the access sliproad between the hospital and the Dunkirk sliproad.

Overnight

All the work will be carried out overnight, to limit delays to drivers, and will require a full closure of the A52 eastbound entry sliproad and the access road between the QMC roundabout and the Dunkirk roundabout exit sliproad from 8pm until 6am each night.

The bus stop alongside the A52 sliproad will also be closed.

”Aim to limit delays”

Highways Agency project manager Sameer Sharma said: “We aim to limit delays to drivers as much as possible by only working at night when the road is less busy, but road users should still be prepared for some delays. “We advise people to allow extra time for their journeys and to follow the diversions carefully."
