Decision on School merger next month

17 August, 2007

A decision will be made in September as to whether two Stapleford schools will merge.

Albany Infant and Albany Junior Schools could be amalgamated if the go ahead is given at the Cabinet Meeting of Nottinghamshire County Council next month.

If the proposals are approved, residents and interested parties will have six weeks to make their views known.

Parents, staff and governors at both schools have already been consulted about the proposals.

Closure is on the agenda because of the number of pupil places vacant at each school.
