07 April, 2008

The charity is run by a band of unpaid volunteers many of whom are disabled themselves and they receive invaluable assistance from the car park attendants.
Total age of 214 years
The three volunteers who laid the carpet, painted the walls and made and fitted the furniture have a total age of 214 years between them!
The new facility will be officially opened in Wednesday, April 9, by Mayor of Broxtowe, Councillor Brian Wombwell.
Beeston's Shopmobility first opened its doors in 2000 with a handful of scooters and three chairs in the car park and it has progressed over the years to today’s smart new premises.
