snake-stolen-beeston A snake has been stolen from Beeston.

The adult Royal Python which is between 2.5 and 3ft long was taken along with its vivarium (snake tank) between Saturday, April 19, and Sunday, April 27.

A large quantity of valuable antiques were also stolen in the break-in, including a 4ft high ceramic tiger and a 4ft by 7ft framed tapestry.

Police are appealing for information after the burglary at an address in Beeston.

Detectives are asking anyone with any information, anyone who has been offered property matching this description or has been offered a snake and vivarium, to contact Carlton CID on 0115 9670999 ext 6732.
