Stapleford Death - Man Named

A man who died following an attack at his home has been named as Tony Hand, police can reveal.Mr Hand, 37 (pictured) of Matthews Court, Stapleford, sustained serious injuries during the assault, which occurred at around 6.40am Saturday, February 16, 2008.
Nottinghamshire Police has launched a murder inquiry into the death and officers believe Mr Hand knew his attackers.
Following the assault paramedics attended the address and Mr Hand was taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre, where he later died.
A Home Office post-mortem examination has concluded Mr Hand died as a result of head injuries sustained during the attack.
Three men arrested on Saturday remain in custody after Magistrates granted detectives a further 36 hours to question the men.
