Strike action may disrupt bin collections

Unison and the T and G section of Unite have announced that a national strike will take place by their members on Wednesday, July 16 and Thursday, July 17.
Some employees of Broxtowe Borough Council may be taking part in the action and this could impinge on some services.
The Council says it aims to minimise the effect on the public and to ensure that essential services are provided should the strike go ahead. Services that may be seriously affected include refuse and recycling collections and contingency plans have been put in place should this occur.
