Everyone enjoyed the Fete
The crowds turned out to support the St Mary’s Church, Attenborough, Summer Fete.It was held on Saturday, July 7 in the village hall and the well-supported event was officially opened by The Mayor of Broxtowe, Cllr Brian Wombwell.
There were plenty of stalls inside the hall from the local community groups, including the Sewing Circle and Brownies including a bran tub, raffle, toy stall, sweet stall, white elephant and many more.
There were also strawberries and cream, ice creams, and refreshments.
The Beeston Town Band entertained everyone and those sitting around the arena enjoyed displays by the Nottingham Dog Training Club and the Stapleford Dance Academy.
The afternoon was rounded off with children’s sports and the raffle prize draw.
