Youngster re-names Swimming Club
13 August, 2007
6-year-old Lewis Loydall who attends William Lilley School on Halls Road, was the winner of a competition for children attending the swimming lessons at the Leisure Centre and his suggestion of ‘Water Buddies’ was selected from the 40 entries received for the competition.
Along with the accolade of having his idea picked to promote the swimming school, Lewis has won a swimming goody bag, which includes goggles, kickboard and pull buoy to encourage him in his swimming.
National Plan
In September, Bramcote Leisure Centre will be introducing the OFSTED endorsed Amateur Swimming Association’s National Plan to teach swimming as part of the junior lessons.
Bramcote provides a wide variety of swimming lessons for all ages (babies to adults) and for all abilities. Over 800 people access the swimming lessons on a weekly basis.
The swimming school offers swimming instruction for Aqua Babies Classes for the under 3’s, Junior Lessons, Teenager Lessons and Adult Lessons.
Additional courses are being devised and offered on a regular basis to encourage water safety and personal development including Rookie Lifesaving, diving, synchronised swimming and mini-water polo.
