Teaching Award winners at national cermeony

17 October, 2007

Two Teaching Award winners will travel to London this weekend to celebrate their success at a national ceremony.

The two representatives from NG9 are the Teaching Award for Enterprise: Christopher Haggett, George Spencer School, Stapleford and Governor of the Year: Richard Taylor, Foxwood Foundation School, Bramcote.

Every Teaching Award winner is invited to attend the winners’ weekend and national ceremony over the weekend of 20 and 21 October 2007.

The weekend of events provides an opportunity for all Teaching Award winners to meet each other and celebrate with friends, family and colleagues.

Highlights

Highlights of the weekend include a complimentary stay at The Tower hotel and invitations to various events, including the national ceremony, televised by the BBC, at the London Palladium.

Teaching Awards ceremonies are held throughout the country during June and July. Every Teaching Awards finalist from across 11 regions, Wales and Northern Ireland is honoured at their local ceremony.

The ceremonies provide a perfect opportunity for the whole school community to celebrate the achievements of outstanding teachers, teaching assistants and school governors.
