Two men arrested under Terrorism Act

Those arrested are a 30-year-old and a 22-year-old. They were arrested on the University of Nottingham campus.
Both men have been questioned and enquiries are continuing.
Officers have searched premises at the university and properties in Nottingham. Searches will continue at premises connected with the two men.
Supt Simon Nickless said there was no cause for alarm within local communities. “Officers are working with community representatives to offer support and reassurance. The response has been calm and rational.
“Feedback is that people accept that this sort of police operation is necessary and reasonable for the welfare of communities.”
