Volunteer Mediators Required
01 October, 2007
Broxtowe Borough Mediation Service has been providing a free service to the residents of Broxtowe since 1997.
Volunteers receive full training and no previous experience is required although the ability to listen and deal sensitively with people is important.
Community Mediation Skills
Each volunteer is asked to spare three hours a week to attend a training course in Community Mediation Skills. The course, starting January 2008, will last for ten weeks.
Mediation is rapidly expanding in the UK and proving an effective way to resolve neighbour disputes before they get completely out of hand.
Real Difference If you would like to make a real difference in your local community and gain some valuable interpersonal skills at the same time then contact Dawn or Lynn at Broxtowe Borough Mediation Service on 0115 917 3736 for an information pack.
Broxtowe Borough Mediation Service provides trained volunteers to act as impartial third party mediators to help people in dispute reach a mutually acceptable agreement.
The service has helped hundreds of local people over the past 11 years and is managed by a committee with representatives from the Borough Council, police, local residents, churches and voluntary sector.
