Wind Turbine plan for Boys Brigade

26 July, 2007

Youngsters belonging to The Boys and Girls' Brigades in Beeston are planning to help reduce their carbon footprint by having a wind turbine installed at their new headquarters.

The new centre, which is being built in Nuart Road, near to Round Hill School, will replace existing premises in Station Road, which are due to be demolished to make way for the new Tesco superstore.

A planning application for the turbine and photo-voltaic cells to convert sunlight into electricity has been submitted to Broxtowe Borough Council.
